Avinash Oak graduated from Film & TV. Institute Of India, Pune, India with specialization in Sound Engineering. He has attended a special course for studio engineers conducted by APRS at the University of Surrey, England.
In 1974 he Joined Western Outdoor, a leading music recording studio, as an Assistant sound Engineer and resigned as "Associate Director- Audio" in March 2003. In his long career, he has engineered the recording sessions for Songs for feature films, Private Albums viz. Indian Classical, Gazal, Devotional, Indi-pop, TV. & Radio commercials & Sponsored Programs, Son-et-Lumiere soundtracks, Ballet Sound tracks, Audio Visuals & Corporate Videos.
He is a Life Member of the Audio Engineering Society Inc., and a founder member of the India Section of the society.
