Embedding Environmental Sustainability in the Audio Curriculum
Environmental sustainability is a vitally important topic globally, but it is all too often absent from university level courses in favor of the core curriculum.  Using examples of good practice in the audio industry, the paper will explore ways of embedding environmental sustainability into common audio related classroom exercises and assignment work in the BSc (Hons) Audio Engineering course at Leeds Beckett University.  The outcomes of running these exercises over the last five years will be evaluated and suggestions made regarding how the audio education community can improve their practice in this area.
