Live sound engineer with 35 years concert touring experience. Jon has toured extensively with artists such as Bryan Ferry, Stereophonics, Biffy Clyro and The Prodigy. Jon is also a partner in a five studio recording complex in Sheffield, UK. Involved in education for many years Jon is currently teaching entertainment engineering at the University of Derby at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. Interested in teaching techniques in engineering in particular live sound. Currently looking at noise regulations and how we need to teach awareness of sound levels. Interested in building links between education and industry, particularly touring companies. Jon has been giving lectures and masterclasses for over twenty years but settled into full-time education a couple of years ago after completing an MSc at the University of York. Jon is now studying for a  PhD in auditory responses.
