Ever since the age of 13 when he acquired a Tascam 4-track cassette recorder, Koehler has been experimenting with microphones, instruments, and other fun toys. He is known in the St. Louis area as both the genre-defying guitarist in iLLPHONiCS, as well as a skilled engineer in the studio and onstage. Having spent equal time both holding a guitar and operating a mixing desk, Koehler has a unique perspective on all things audio.

During the isolation of 2020, Kevin Koehler wrote, performed, produced, and engineered the 8-track ‘Infinite Will‘, his second album released under the Obviously Offbeat name. Since its release in July 2021, ‘Infinite Will‘ has caught the attention of college radio across the North American continent (earning #13 on KDHX’s Top Local Albums Spins of 2021), as well as earned Koehler a spot on the roster of music licensing group Tinderbox Music.

Koehler is also an educator with a variety of teaching experience, including time at the Extreme Institute by Nelly.
