Ben Mosley is a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University specialising in Audio Engineering and Acoustics. He has been Course Leader for both the BSc (Hons) Audio Engineering and BSc (Hons) Music Technology courses and teaches across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate audio, acoustics and project modules. He holds a 1st Class degree in Music Technology and a wide variety of postgraduate qualifications in education and acoustics. He has been teaching and course leading HE programmes since 2002
Ben began his career in audio as an installation engineer, designing and installing recording studios and music technology suites for a range of private sector and educational institutions across the UK during the early 2000s. He has also worked as a studio recording engineer and occasional live sound engineer throughout his career. Ben also continues to offer acoustic consultancy services.
Ben is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Member of the Audio Engineering Society. He has hosted the annual AES UK student conference ‘Up Your Output’ and regular AES events in the north of England. Ben’s research interests are education, sustainability and ‘green’ audio and he has written several articles and papers on these topics.
